I went in for the taco plate. Requested ground beef tacos and for my side I requested ALL BEANS no rice. I repeated this order twice to the guy at the counter and when I got my order both tacos contained ALL BEANS and my side dish was an entire plate of BEANS!!! There was no ground beef to be seen in my tacos anywhere! I couldn't believe that this moron couldn't make two ground beef tacos with beans on the side! What an idiot I will never be back again unless I need to clean out my colon.

Note: this is a Tex-Mex restaurant!!! Not authentic Mexican. Go in with that in mind and you will have a great time. Food is good, we went twice during our stay down here and have enjoyed it both times. The second time we walked out without getting our cookie dough dessert. Our fault we had said we'd let them know when we were ready. Got to the stop Leigh and remembered so we turned around and came back and the gentleman was very friendly and got us our dessert in a few minutes time. Def would eat here again next time we are in the area.

Nice little taco place. I love their hot sauce bar, and anytime I've stopped into this location, they've always given me great service. I've eaten here 25-30 times, I've never had an issue. I'm looking to try those chicken & bean tacos next time I stop in!

Decided to stop in a few days back with a a party of five. This was the first time any of us have ever been so we honestly didn't know what to expect. The place has an awesome vibe and the majority of the employees were great. The art work is great to look at while you wait for your food and are great conversion pieces. Thats when the positives stop. The food was a 3/10.The chicken was extremely over cooked, dry and had minimal flavor. Chips are way to salty and they over cooked our quesadillas. The worst part of it all is that 3(1 is a 5yr old) out of the 5 party members had chicken and now they have symptoms of food poisoning. I'm sorry to say we will not be returning and will be sticking with Moes when we are in the mood for Mexican style food.

Good staff good service, our orders are right and food is good and fresh!! We get take out and have dine in and have had very little to ever complain about. My nephews love tacos and love eating here with the fun decor and hot sauce bar too. Fast fresh food with good customer service. Something our town can use more of. I'd give five stars if they offered organic choices.

this is not Mexican food, It's Mexicans Serving poor quality food to White people who think this is Authentic Mexican Food...It's worse than Taco Bell! The people serving you have no idea what you are ordering unless you point it out on the menu as the don't speak English. How does this place pay the rent?

We decided to try something new - usually we stick to the more authentic Mexican restaurants. The service was friendly, but the food took a long time to come out and the orders weren't correct. Even the table behind us were complaining about the incomplete/incorrect orders. Good place to stop in for appetizers and drinks, but would think twice before spending that kind of money on meals.

have been going here for several years, understand it is not supposed to be a dining experience of some expensive Mexican restaurant, this is a very good, casual dining experience, the staff is excellent, prices very good, and beer is great, prices most can afford, food is fresh, if you have a problem just speak up and it is resolved, great hot sauces, very relaxed atmosphere, management is always attentive, I have been here dozens of times and for the money you will enjoy

What a great experience! We came in because it was my mom's birthday and they offer a free entree for your birthday!! Not only did she get to pick what ever she wanted on the menu but she also got a free iced tea! The food was great, good flavor and so many salsa and sauce choices!

This place is great! So it's definitely not authentic mexican food but I guess I don't really care to much for that anyways. It's still way better then most "american mexican" places. The hot sauce bar is so awesome and should be in every mexican restaurant! Prices are affordable too!

Oh Tijuana, where the beer, cocaine and hookers are always a few dollars away... WAAAAIT, wait.. wrong Tijuana. Yes yes, Tijuana Flats... Where the queso, guacomole and flautas are always a few dollars away. You know what makes a place great? It's when you can eat each ingredient individually and they are delicious, and then when you put them together, they are magic. Like unicorn milk and oreos. T Flats is like that. Stick your finger in the queso... delicious. Take a lick of the 'Smack my sweet ass and call me sally' hot sauce... hot diggy! Down a shot of the guacomole.. holy moly! Cram a flauta in your mouth and sing the Mexican national Anthem... "Mehhihhanos, al hhrihho he hhuefffffrra!!!" But put it all together. Poppity pop pop.. sweet, spice, hot, cold, crispy, soft, love, hate, tears, joy, sunshine, rain.. it's all happening in your mouth, all at once... in your mouth. Just don't get that jalepeno juice on your lips. It stays with you. If you do, note: lime juice will fix you up. In summary: Get the flautas, try not to look like a pig, and stay away from the cocaine.

What can I say? This is Tijuana Flats! I have been to Tijuana Flats in Orlando and Tampa. When this came to my area a few years ago, I was excited. The inside of the restaurant is similar to the other Flats, colorful and filled with music, etc. I would love to give this location a great review. However, it seems like they have steadily gotten worse over the past couple of years. The quantity of food you receive is either inconsistent or much less than what it used to be at this location. I would also add, the quantity of food served at this location pales in comparison to other Flats. The service is below average. This is not because they are rude. It is almost like clockwork that they will mess up your order. Even if you have them repeat back what you ordered, it usually comes out wrong. They are friendly and fix the issue. However, a lot of the time we are ordering to go. We may already be home before we discover the error. Bottom line, the food is great. The service and quantity of food is inconsistent.

Great food, fast service and good price - we hit the Flats probably once a week, when it's Daddy's turn to cook!

Filthy joint. Chick sprays and wipes down tables then grabs my food and serves it to me without even thinking about washing her filthy paws. If you want to get sick. Eat here.

Tex-mex food. We live in Ohio and eat here every chance we get. Great handmade salsa made fresh every day. Murals hand painted on the walls. 15 plus sauces to choose from. Great place if you just want a couple tacos and some chips and salsa for a reasonable price.

The "two tacos, chips and a drink" special at $4.99 can't be beat. Tacos are delicious, more than enough chips and free drink refills. Crazy number of sauces for the tacos and chips. Pleasant wait staff. We especially enjoy this place for lunch.

I cannot believe they call this Mexican food. So gross and Americanized! Avoid at all costs if your craving Mexican.

We had a great experience at Tijuana Flats, freshly prepared tacos, burritos and more. I had the 2 taco and a drink 4.99 meal deal. I had one soft taco with yummy blackened chicken and the other hard shell with tender pork with all the fixens. My husband has the chicken chimichanga which was stuffed with white meat chicken. The chili bar filled with lots of specialty sauces from mild to spicy and was especially fun to try. We spoke to the manager, he was very helpful and genuinely friendly. This is a fast food restaurant with all fresh ingredients made daily. Give this fast food place a try.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
